As we continue through 2024, staying on top of evolving regulatory landscapes is crucial. Here's a brief overview of important updates:
Florida Corporation Filing and LLC Renewals:
Annual Report Deadlines: File by May 1, 2023, to avoid a $400 late fee. Avoid administrative dissolution by filing by the third Friday in September.
Email Confirmation: Enhances security upon filing.
Charitable Solicitations Registration: Annually register with FDACS if soliciting donations.
The New Beneficial Ownership Information Requirement:
Purpose: Increases business transparency and combats illicit activities.
Who Reports?: Most companies, check for exemptions.
When to Report: Established businesses report by January 1, 2025; new businesses within 30 days post-registration.
How to Report: Electronically via FinCEN's website.
🚗 Non-Owned Auto Endorsement:
Understand how Non-Owned Auto Endorsement can protect your business. This is especially crucial if your business involves vehicles not directly owned by your company. It covers liabilities arising from their use in business operations.
